A Sandworm can cross a dune sea without breaking the surface. Its passage appears first as a faint shiver in a cup, a sliding pebble, or a line in the sand moving against the wind.
It attacks from below and disappears the same way, leaving hunters to wonder whether the ground is safe or merely waiting.
